I usually don't share my school projects because either A) I don't like them because I didn't try hard on them or B) I don't finish them because I don't like them. I decided to change that this year and actually put forth an effort in my art class--all of my classes actually--and I'm actually really enjoying what our teacher is making us do It's a chance for me to get out of my comfort-zone and play with things that I wouldn't normally touch, since I'm usually using the computer/tablet.

The assignment was supposed make us make some sort of subject matter out of nothing but hands. Our teacher showed us an example that she had done of some koi fish. It was really interesting and my first idea was going to be a clown, or something along those lines.
After that didn't turn out the way I had wanted it too--I couldn't get past the planning stage--I decided that I would be oh so clever and draw a hand made out of hands. I drew in the rough outline and decided that it would be fun to draw hands on the tips of the fingers and then make the rest of it a sleeve. I got the okay from the teacher, and finished.

I'm actually really proud of this, even though it's a kind of small piece in real life. It was done with drip pens, brushes, ink and some colored pencils and took me a few days to finish, since I only have an hour and a half to work on it in class.
